Evolving Strategies on Rewind: How the Map Changes Your Playstyle

Hey guys,

Since the launch of Rewind, I’ve noticed that the meta has shifted in interesting ways. I wanted to share a few strategiescod bo6 boosting I’ve been using, and I’d love to hear how others are adapting to this new map.

The biggest change I’ve experienced is how important timing and map awareness have become. The central time manipulation device is a game-changer. Knowing when to take advantage of it, or when to avoid triggering it, can make or break your match. I’ve started paying more attention to the mini-map, looking for signs of when the device is charging, and positioning myself in ways that will allow me to either capitalize on or avoid the rewind mechanic.

Another key change is the importance of verticality. On many maps, holding high ground is a great advantage, but on Rewind, it’s especially crucial. If you can control one of the elevated platforms near the central area, you gain a commanding view of the battlefield, which is invaluable during the chaos of the rewind event. However, you need to be prepared for enemies to try to flank you from below, especially in the narrower corridors.

The map encourages a balance of cautious planning and adaptability. It’s no longer enough to just hold down a position—you need to stay flexible and ready to change your strategy on the fly. I’ve also seen players making use of equipment like smoke grenades and flashbangs to counter enemies who might try to reset the map’s environment.

I’m curious to see how the meta continues to evolve as players get better at exploiting the mechanics of the map. What strategies have you all been using? How do you feel Rewind changes the way you approach combat?
